Is it just me or do other people have trouble with the Cerave burning? I love all things Vanicream. The cleanser, the cream, and the ointment is sooo good! Less greasy than aquaphor. It’s like the cream and Vaseline had a baby.

totally. I've definitely heard of other people experiencing the burning/stinging occasionally. oooh will try the ointment too!

So proud to be a trendsetter 😂I’ve been using both Vanicream and Cera Ve for years, both recommended by our dermatologist. I prefer the Vanicream lotion to the Cera Ve (it used to be called Lite Lotion for us old heads). And if you are a Costco member, they sell Vanicream behind the pharmacy counter (Cera Ve is sold in the main aisle).

Yes to the the Vanicream Gentle Cleanser! It's my absolute go-to, morning and night. I think I've had every cleanser under the sun sent my way and nothing beats that $9 bottle of goodness.

ok i have GOT to try this cleanser. I've never had as many people recommend a product before! I can't believe it's taken me this long to try it.

It definitely flies under the radar. Also, thanks so much for the Joico rec. Can't wait to try it.

When Cereve started to sting I found my way to La Roche Posay's Cicaplast B5 cream. It's my fail safe skin soother. Just in case it hasn't crossed your radar.

yes! that's actually the other one I use! My only issue is the little tube gets a little hard to squeeze after it gets down to the end. But the product itself is really nice

I second the

Vanicream mositurizer for winter. I also love their face moisturizer that was recommended my derm. It's not fancy but it really does the job . Cerave non foam gentle cleanser is still my go to for face wash.:)

yes! sometimes "not fancy" is exactly what we need ❤️

It’s a great cleanser. I have others but I keep going back to this. So good for dry sensitive skin.

ooh good to know!

Honestly didn’t love the cleanser. It doesn’t take off makeup at all. Do you HAVE to double cleanse when you use this.

yup totally. This type of cream cleanser isn't really for makeup removal. it's the same thing when I use the la roche posay cream cleanser.

If I’m wearing makeup I do an oil based cleanser first then the Vanicream cleanser. Otherwise, I just use the cleanser on its own.

My ophthalmologist keeps telling me to use Crisco on my eyelids that are dry. He says it’s the fully hydrogenated vegetable oil that is attracted to the water in skin and is therefore absorbed vs sitting on top like petroleum products (don’t quote me on this) Thoughts on this and what face creams are equivalent to Crisco…

It’s the best!

Now using the Vanicream cleanser because of this post! Thanks so much for the rec. Agree that you have to double cleanse if you're wearing make-up (for balm cleanser, I have been loving Augustinus Bader Cleansing balm)
