I'm excited to try the overnight mask especially knowing it doesn't get messy. I loved DISORIENTATION for sharp but funny satire, also ANITA DE MONTE LAUGHS LAST for a beach read with some heft, it's about the art world and power dynamics. I'd be curious as someone in the beauty industry what you think of NATURAL BEAUTY or FLAWLESS too
For a mental escape, A Court of Thorns and Roses. Other books I recently read and loved: Ellipses by Vanessa Lawrence (fellow AAPI former magazine editor), Mott Street: A Chinese American Family’s Story of Exclusion and Homecoming by Ava Chin, and of course, Interior Chinatown.
Also for books, James (read), How to Read a Book (read), Demon Cooperhead (listen), Notes on an Execution (read), Birnum Wood (listen) and End of the Affair (listen for glorious Colin Firth goodness)
i just bought everything mentioned in this blog. will report back!
especially curious to hear your take on the mask!!
