About me! I was the Editor in Chief of Allure for six years, the EIC of Nylon (and if I may toot my own horn for a bit, I was named Adweek’s Editor of the Year and an Adcolor Legend). I’ve tested thousands of products and treatments (just check out my interview with The Cut on the products I use till the last drop). I created this space to do deep dives into beauty, life, and other stuff I’m loving, hating, and pondering.
I believe that understanding the science of tretinoin or the difference between mineral and chemical sunscreen or the importance of hair porosity can help you make better decisions. Fun fact: I wore a lot of hats earlier in my career and covered everything from tech and medicine to music and entertainment to extreme sports (and even wrote about cars for a while). Needless to say, all of that experience gave me a good knack for synthesizing information in easy-to-digest ways.
